For the most part I’m going to leave my personal life out of this blog. The shallow, anonymous show of men in lycra spandex seems to work fine. This is one post among very few that will go into more detail about myself. Go to the “about” page from time to time to see if I add extra info.

As a person you’d meet in everyday life, I’m more or less unremarkable. Given my interest in lycra, it might be surprising that I don’t wear it more often. When I do, I’m usually just out on a road bike, for which the practical aspects of spandex is more important than the aesthetic appeal.

Cycling is an outlet for wearing spandex, but it is also a big part of my life as recreation and transportation. I’m not so much a speed racer as I am just a guy who uses a bike to get around and enjoy laps around the lake. Typical of a cyclist, I have a skinny build but with disproportionately strong legs and butt. It actually makes me wishful of more upper body bulk, but since I’m in pretty good shape I don’t complain too much.

In the future I’d like to get into other sports that also have lycra as standard attire. Running, skating, rowing come to mind. Wrestling would be my holy grail. Recreational wrestling clubs are nearly non-existent.

In other details I’m a single 26-year-old living by myself in a major metropolitan area. I shop, cook, stay home, go out, hang out, have fun, think, worry, write, read, eat, sleep, and try to live more or less a normal life and be the best person I can. However, I do have a “firewall” between my real life and my internet gear life, with a few exceptions.

The most common exception is if you contact me through one of the profile directory websites and arrange to meet me in person. Typically we would hang out as any buddies would. Sometimes it would go a little further if the chemistry is right. I’m physically and emotionally conservative by nature so I don’t go beyond touching, rubbing, and cuddling.

I venture into revealing more about myself because I think it increases the chances that I might meet someone special. Spandex is a big part of my erotic sensibilities. I imagine that this shared interest would make a strong bond between two people.

Santa Speedos December 26, 2007

For those who don’t know already, an annual tradition in Boston is the Santa Speedo Run, where a bunch of people wear (mostly) red speedos and go for a little run. See coverege here (2005), here (2006), and here (2007).
