Yikes, my last post was one month ago. Apologies for being away for so long.
I spent some time in Austin /TX and then New York /NY, both cities having, I’m guessing, a better-than-average of young athletic people possibly wearing spandex. (This is America, average fitness is not hard to beat.)
Get this, what I saw in New York city is that in regards to wearing spandex, cyclists don’t, runners do. Where I call home it’s the other way around. I’m guessing that people on bikes are just getting around the city, while runners wear tights because that’s the fashion there when it happens to be chilly like it was when I visited.
I just want to mention that I got hot and bothered when I saw a pack of young men running near Columbia U on a Sunday morning. Too bad I was out with a friend, or I would have whipped out my camera and snapped a few pictures. Every one of those 6-8 guys was wearing black tights and white spandex tops.
Thank you New York for showing what men can wear for recreation.
