Recently I had the pleasure of meeting the designer and product manager for a leading sports apparel brand. Here’s a lucky guy whose job — actually, career — it is to make men wear spandex, specifically his brand of spandex. I think it is wonderful that he spends his efforts designing for better materials, better fit, better performance, better comfort. And it just so happens that in this category of spandex, a LOT of attention is given to the crotch area. We sort of joked that he conducts a lot of research, and has quite a bit of expertise.
